The North Central Health District will begin offering drive up testing for COVID-19 Friday at 9 a.m.
The testing is by appointment only. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the NCHD will have multiple collection sites, with the first opening tomorrow at the health department, located at 171 Emery Highway in Macon.
To get a test, you need to call 1-844-987-0099 and receive a referral. Anyone who shows up at the testing site without a referral will be turned around, according to the sheriff.
“The Georgia State Patrol, the National Guard, and Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies will be onsite to monitor traffic should the need arise,” the release read.
The state of Georgia recently reduced requirements to open up testing to more people.
