Some of the best burgers can be found in local eateries tucked away from the hustle and bustle of packed city streets inside hidden hotspots.

Cheapism compiled a list of the "best hole-in-the-wall burger joints" across the U.S., the small but mighty eateries that might not be as "glamorous" as the highly-touted chains and popular establishments but that still pack a major punch with a bite you'll be thinking about for many meals to come.

According to the site, the top spot in all of Georgia is Johnny V's. The burgers at this Macon restaurant are inexpensive and packed with flavor, but the menu is filled with plenty of other incredible options as well. Johnny V's, which has a 4.6 star rating on Google and nearly 1,000 reviews, is located at 5854 Columbus Road #1.

Here's what Cheapism had to say about this beloved hidden gem:

"The hamburger and the cheeseburger are both under $3 at this retro eatery, but you may want to upgrade to a V burger to get fries and a drink. Fans rave about the friendly service and the tasty breakfast, too."
