Do you live in one of the rudest cities in America?
It costs nothing to kind, but some destinations have apparently missed the memo. America is a land of incredibly diverse communities. No matter where you go, you can find both the nicest people you have ever met and some of the rudest you have ever encountered.
Preply compiled a list of the "rudest cities" in the country by surveying residents about social behaviors in their city, including "rude behaviors" like being loud in shared spaces, ignoring strangers, watching videos in shared spaces, having poor hygiene, being impolite to service staff and a general lack of self-awareness, among others.
Among the list is one city in Georgia: Atlanta (No. 23)
These are the 10 rudest cities in the U.S., according to Preply:
- Miami, Florida
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Tampa, Florida
- Louisville, Kentucky
- Oakland, California
- Boston, Massachusetts
- Memphis, Tennessee
- Las Vegas, Nevada
- Long Beach, California
- Charlotte, North Carolina
On the opposite side of the spectrum, cities like Omaha, Nebraska, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and San Diego, California have some of the "least rude residents."
