Sean "Diddy" Combs is facing new complaints from dozens of victims who claim they were abused by the mogul and his cohorts.
Federal investigators have received more calls from people who feel a lot more comfortable coming forward with their alleged experiences with Combs. According to TMZ, the influx of new accusers and witnesses began not long after the troubled artist was arrested last month. Each person is working with the feds to provide as much information as possible about the allegations against the Bad Boy founder. As if that wasn't enough, Combs is also trying to get ahead of another wave of lawsuits that are coming his way.
“As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus,” Combs' attorney Erica Wolff said in a statement. "That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court if and when claims are filed and served, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
At least 120 new victims are preparing to file civil lawsuits against Combs. According to Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee, a group of 60 men and 60 women plan to sue The Love Album artist for allegations from the past 20 years including violent sexual assault or rape, facilitated sex with a controlled substance, dissemination of video recordings and sexual abuse of minors. Buzbee said at least 25 of the accusers were minors when the alleged incidents occurred and date back to as early as 1991. One of the alleged victims was reportedly 9 years old when their encounter with Combs happened.
“We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors," Buzbee said during a press conference on Tuesday. "We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates."
Combs is currently awaiting trial inside a jail cell in Brooklyn, New York. He recently filed another motion to appeal his bail ruling after he was denied twice.
