Swae Lee has told his fans not to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris for president in the upcoming election.
The other half of Rae Sremmurd took to X on Saturday and shared his views about the leading Democratic nominee for president. He began by telling his fans not to vote for Vice President Harris and to do their research "on that whole camp." He followed up with his gripes about the millions in taxes he pays every year and shamed people for standing with Harris just because of her race.
"Do not vote for Kamala !!! Do your research on that whole camp," he wrote.
"I pay over millions in tax dollars every year this man Sent it to A whole nother country !!!!!!!!!" he continued. "Those lil dollars that come off your checks they gave it away !!!!!!! Think about that s**t."
"The money we sent away every American citizen could’ve got minimal 200 grand think about that but I guess we don’t need the s**t 🤷🏽♂️ and yall standing for Kamala," he added. "My black people she don’t do nothing but sign off on things against yall ….(us) voting just cuz you think she’s black is not going to end in your favor."
Swae's rant on X was instantly met with backlash from Harris' supporters. His replies were full of people who couldn't believe his stance. In response to his call to do their research, critics pulled up their own receipts about Harris' record. Despite the waves of criticism he received under every post, the Mississippi native didn't back down.
As fans pushed back against his views, Swae persisted and tried to defend his views. He claimed Vice President Harris "don’t lean to the black side" and urged people to look up what former President Donald Trump did for "blacks hbcus all type of s**t." He also reposted videos of Harris' performance during CNN's 2020 Democratic presidential debate.
Swae is one of numerous artists who have come out against Vice President Harris amid her presidential run. Another staunch Trump supporter Lil Pump also claimed Harris is "the worst VP in American history" on X. Over the past few months, other artists like Kodak Black, Azealia Banks, Sheff G, and Sleepy Hallow have all endorsed the former president during his reelection campaign.
