Will Smith Drops Trailer For HBO Max's 'Fresh Prince' Reunion Special

We're days away from the release of HBO Max's Fresh Prince of Bel Air reunion special!

On Friday (November 13), the beloved series' star Will Smith released the trailer for the highly-anticipated reunion show, which was filmed back in September on the 30th anniversary date of the show's debut on NBC.

"You've probably seen the picture," the 52-year-old actor begins the trailer. "I posted it about a month ago. Me and the whole Fresh Prince cast. But you're not ready for this trailer. You couldn't be ready for this trailer. Happy Thanksgiving."

The trailer goes on to show the cast — Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton Banks), Tatyana Ali (Ashley Banks), Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks), Daphne Reid (Vivian Banks), DJ Jazzy Jeff (Jazz), and Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey) — reuniting on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air set.

After sharing a few laughs and reminiscing on their time together, the cast pays tribute James Avery (Uncle Phil), who died in 2013 at the age of 68. "James was the heart of the show, Tatyana says before Will recalls one of his most memorable scenes with the late actor.

The emotional trailer ends with Will introducing the original Aunt Viv, Jane Hubert. "I couldn't celebrate 30 years of Fresh Prince without Janet," he says as the trailer cuts to a shot of her walking off set.

In September, Will shared a photo of the cast's reunion to Instagram, captioning two photos, "Today is exactly 30 YEARS since The @FreshPrince of Bel-Air debuted! So we’re doin’ something for y’all… a for real Banks Family Reunion is comin’ soon to @HBOmax! RIP James. #FreshPrince30th."

The HBO Max reunion special drops on November 19.
