An ordinance that would expand the "First Friday" open container rule to a daily rule through the end of this year was approved in committee meetings Tuesday, August 11.
The ordinance would allow those enjoying the downtown district to take alcoholic beverages bought from downtown establishments outside every day of the week from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The proposed ordinance is set to only run through the end of this year.
