  • Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning cancelling the next 3 Commission Hearings: March 23, April 13 and April 27. However, our Zoning Professionals will be issuing permits, processing applications and answering land use and zoning questions through:MBPZ.org through their online chat and other options are listed.
  • Country music singer Cole Swindell is postponing his concert that was planned for March 13 at the Macon Centreplex.Find more information here.
  • Trials, Grand Jury proceedings to be suspended for Bibb, Crawford, Peach superior courts for 30 days. All jurors asked not to show up to court.Find more information here.
  • The Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia has decided to postpone its Open House event. Be on the lookout for a new invitation with an updated time for this event.
  • All Middle Georgia Regional Libraries are indefinitely suspending operation starting Monday, March 16.Find more information here.
  • All Macon-Bibb recreation centers will close for at least 15 days starting on March 17. This includes the Elaine H. Lucas Senior Center, John Drew Smith Tennis Center, Frank Johnson Recreation Center, Delores A. Brooks Recreation Center, Freedom Park, Memorial Center, Tattnall Square Park Tennis Center, Theron Ussery Recreation Center, Rosa Jackson Recreation Center, Bloomfield-Gilead Park, L.H. Williams Recreation Center, and South Bibb Recreation Center.
  • Douglass Theatre canceled Walk of Fame for Friday, March 20th.
  • Criminal Justice Resource Fair and Record Restriction Event postponed until later date.
  • Victim Services Resource Fairs and a Women’s Self Defense Class planned for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is postponed until a later date.

RICHMOND COUNTY

  • Augusta Roast on the River 2020: Savannah Riverkeeper has made the decision to postpone the 2020 Roast on the River. The Augusta Roast will move from March 21 to October 24, 2020 and will be held at our Augusta office at 328 Riverfront Drive.
