Bibb County Schools move to all virtual learning for fall 2020-2021 year

The Bibb County School District announced the 2020-2021 school year will begin virtually on September 8.

The District will remain in virtual learning through the first quarter of the school year which is October 30.

The District will continue to monitor COVID-19 data for Bibb County before making a decision regarding the remainder of the first semester.

Superintendent Curtis Jones says that after hearing many parents and teachers the decision was made.

"We believe we have a safe option for your students. The virtual option will be a quality option. It will be much better than it was in the spring," said Jones in a video.
