Here’s how you can get a free mask and COVID-19 test in Bibb County

The Macon-Bibb County Health Department, along with several community partners, will hold several mask giveaway events in Bibb County over the next few weeks.

Here’s where you can get a free mask this week:

  • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Aug. 4 at Anderson’s Diner at 3700 Pio Nono Avenue.
  • 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at Third Street Park In partnership with NewTown Macon, United Way and United Volunteer.
  • 9:30 a.m. – noon Aug. 10 at Family Investment Center at 905 Main Street
  • 9 a.m. – noon Aug. 15 at the Tubman Museum at 310 Cherry Street

In addition to the giveaways at the community locations, the health department is partnering with the Bibb County Sheriff Department’s Outreach Division to deliver facemasks to neighborhoods in Macon.

  • 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Aug. 18 Houston Avenue Community
  • 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Aug. 20 Village Green Community
  • 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Aug. 25 Kings Park Community

Here’s where you can get a free mask the week of 8/10-8/14:

The masks will be available FREE to the public Monday through Thursday between 9:00 a.m.and 1:00 p.m. at the recreation centers listed below, and each person will be provided up to 10 masks.

CORONAVIRUS TESTING

The Community Church of God in Macon has partnered with a variety of churches in the community to provide free COVID-19 tests across the area. Here’s more information on the testing events this week:

  • 11 a.m. -3 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Community Church of God on 5555 Bethesda Ave in Macon. This location will also offer serological antibody tests as well.
  • 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 6 at The Winning Church on 621 Walnut St., in Warner Robins.
  • 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 7 at Greater Zion Hill on 2656 Napier Avenue in Macon.
